FUR RONDY RACE EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY for STUDENTS
During days #2 & #3 of the RONDY WorldChampionship Race, ten A-CHILL students from seven YKSD & AGSD schools experienced hands-on activities to develop skills in dog care, math, race communication, and culture by trail guarding with experienced race judges; pre- &post-race dog handling with Native and non-Native dog mushers; shadowing professionals in fields of veterinary care and race operations, and observing a King Career Center Veterinary Science class. Students kept journals about the weekend to share all when back in their village.
