Spring Institute


This annual two-day training workshop will include professional educators from the two partner school districts, along with select dog mushers and community elders. Ideally, at least 1 teacher and 1 other local community member will attend together.

Facilitators will guide and support participants in learning from each other – tying together locally/culturally relevant contexts with classroom learning and academic goals.

Ultimately, this collaboration improves student mastery of academic content and boosts achievement.
